Mel Owen prepares for Hunter Owen's sentencing while Ian Beale makes a return to the Square and comes face-to-face with son, Bobby.
There's a lot happening in EastEnders next week and it begins with Mel Owen, as she meets Jack Branning to discuss 'investments' and secretly looks through his bank statements.
Also at the beginning of the week, Ian Beale returns to the Square and after an awkward first-encounter, he attempts to make amends with Bobby Beale.
Elsewhere, Jack comes to blows with Fraser Philips - even though Tiffany Butcher told him to leave it, and the Taylors attend Kandice's baby's christening.
PLUS how does Rainie Cross react when she spots Max and Mel sharing a kiss outside the Vic?
Meanwhile it's kicking off with Jay Brown and Ruby Allen when Jay finds out about how much money Ruby has and he confides in Ben about his worries of not being good enough for her.
Ruby discovers that Jay has been talking to people about her money situation and they have an argument in the street.

Max and Mel get closer
The week begins with Mel Owen preparing for Hunter Owen's sentencing. After getting some support from Gray Atkins, she turns her focus back to Jack Branning. The pair meet to discuss investments. She tries to persuade him to include her in his property deals.They are interrupted when Jack receives a call to say Amy Mitchell is sick but Mel senses an opportunity and offers to stay and look after her.

Finally alone, Mel secretly goes through Jack's bank statements. She is forced to suddenly cover when Max returns home, and, caught off-guard, agrees to go for a drink with him.

Max struggles to get Mel off his mind and unaware it's the day of Hunter's sentencing, invites her for out. When Mel lets him down gently, Max suggests they go for a business drink instead. They go for a drink and Mel spots Jack with the officer who arrested Hunter, Muski. Later, Mel makes a suspicious call from home…

Later in the week, Mel puts the final pieces of her plan to get Jack's money into action and tells Rainie Cross a lie to get into the Branning's. Despite Mel's initial reluctance, her and Max share a kiss outside The Vic, as a jealous Rainie watches on.
Ian returns and reunites with Bobby
Also at the beginning of the week, Ian Beale returns to the Square. However, it isn't all smiles as he gets scolded by Kathy Beale for not getting in touch about Bobby Beale. After three years apart, Ian finally comes face-to-face with his son.

Later, things continue to be extremely awkward between Bobby and Ian, so Ben Mitchell suggests a drink at The Vic to celebrate the family reunion. However, other locals are not impressed to see Bobby back on the Square and make it clear that he's not welcome him. Denise Fox offers some supportive words to Bobby, and Mel picks up on the tension between Max and Bobby.

Later, Ian realises he's not been supportive of Bobby and arranges a family meal to make up for it. Desperate to help Bobby settle back into Walford, Ian suggests home tutoring but Bobby shows no interest.Later in the week, Bobby gets a call from a friend and gets the reassurance he needs to make him apologise to Ian.

Ian struggles to get hold of Masood to discuss their business. Later, Ian is horrified when he finds out that Max Branning is his new business partner at the restaurant as Masood has gone. Ian is angry at Kathy for not telling him about Masood's departure.

The Beales' are shocked when they come across Bobby with a bruised face. Assuming Max is responsible, Ian calls the police leaving Bobby mortified. Then, Ian confronts Max but he denies any knowledge of what happened to Bobby.At the end of the week, Ian vows to keep Bobby close, but is unaware that he has already fled.

Elsewhere, Jack Branning asks Sonia Fowler how Tiffany Butcher is getting on, leaving Sonia suspicious. Meanwhile, fed up of Sonia worrying, Tiffany tells Jack to drop things with Fraser. Jack eventually agrees but after a run-in with Fraser at the park he changes his mind. Later, Jack discusses Fraser with Muski but unsatisfied with his response, Jack takes matters into his own hands and follows Fraser.Towards the end of the week, Jack and Fraser come to blows and the situation gets out of hand...

Elsewhere on the Square, Jay Brown is stunned to realise how much money Ruby Allen has and confides in Ben about not being good enough for her. Jay later confides in Billy Mitchell that he's having doubts about Ruby and sensing an opportunity, Billy relays the information to Lola Pearce, encouraging her to remain positive.

Later, Ruby overhears Billy talking about her wealth, and is furious at Jay for speaking to him about her money. Jay is annoyed that Billy has let it slip about Ruby's money.

Meanwhile, Lola is pleased when Denise Fox offers her a job at the salon but when she sees Jay and Ruby having a heart-to-heart and making amends, she is left deflated.

Ben is later stunned when Lexi reveals her and Lola are moving back to Newcastle. Ben confronts Lola about her plans to leave Walford and pleads for one more day with Lexi and feeling the pressure, Ben hatches a plan to make Lola stay.Later, Ben resorts to desperate lengths to ensure Lola doesn't leave.

Elsewhere, the Taylor family prepare for Kandice's baby's christening but as Mitch and Karen argue, Gray quickly smooths things over. Gray continues to charm Karen but is gutted to overhear Mitch telling Karen he doesn't like him.

Chantelle is disappointed when Gray admits that Mitch doesn't like him. Despite Chantelle's encouragement, Gray fails to win Mitch around.

Elsewhere, Jean Slater is annoyed by Daniel Cook at her chemotherapy appointment.Jean has been battling with ovarian cancer after a heartbreaking diagnosis earlier this year.

As Daniel continues to wind her up, Stacey Fowler tells Daniel to leave Jean alone but the attention embarrasses Jean who asks Stacey to leave.

Meanwhile, Jean is frustrated when she can't find her book and when she searches in the oncology unit, she discovers Daniel has it.

As he continues to annoy her, Jean storms off, leaving him regretful. Will he be able to make it up to her? Or has he ruined a potential relationship?

After Keanu Taylor gets mysteriously kidnapped and desperately starts looking for an escape, he panic as he realises how upset Louise Mitchell will be if he misses their first baby scan.
Elsewhere, Kathy Beale tries to protect Bobby and fears what other residents will think when they discover the murderer has returned.
Meanwhile, the Slaters continue to battle over Arthur's custody, with a showdown between Stacey and Martin Fowler and Kat Slater and Kush Kazemi. Later, Stacey decides to quit the cleaning business after she felt like Kat Slater has betrayed her.
