Emmerdale viewers have been left wondering over Joe Tate's fate since he was 'killed off' in October. The businessman, played by Ned Porteous, was the target of a paid-for killing organised by his step-grandmother Kim Tate and carried out at the hands of his own associate, Graham Foster, who has appeared to spiral downwards after Joe's 'death'.
However, before Graham was able to carry out the killing, he witnessed Cain Dingle beat Joe to within an inch of his life after he accidentally jilted Cain's daughter Debbie at the altar - after which Joe hit his head on a rock and was presumed dead.
Both men have been seen feeling huge amounts of guilt over potentially killing Joe - but even after Graham bundled Joe's 'body' into his car, viewers were sure they saw his fingers twitch, a sign that he may have survived the fall.
And after last night's episode, viewers are even more sure that Joe could still be alive, thanks to something that Graham said when comforting Joe's younger brother, Noah.

Graham tried to comfort Noah, who was recently hit by a car and rushed to hospital, and tried to be there for him as his brother is no longer around - telling him, "Joe loves you, you know."
Ears pricked up across the country as they realised that Graham had said that Joe "loves" Noah in the present tense, not that he "loved" him as if he were dead.
Of course, this could be a clever ploy by writers to trick us into thinking that something is amiss - it would be normal for Graham to use the present tense to try and make Noah feel better.
But viewers took to Twitter to share the new information, with many believing this is concrete enough proof that Joe will be returning. One wrote, 'Graham said to Noah, ‘Joe loves you, you know’. He didn’t say past tense, loved', as another added, 'He loves you not he loved you. Is he still alive?'
Emmerdale airs every weeknight at 7pm on ITV, with a second showing on Tuesday nights at 8pm.
