The Emmy Awards is possibly the most important awards event for TV - and the 2019 edition took place in Los Angeles last night (Sunday 22nd September). Unsurprisingly, Game of Thrones won the most awards, with a massive 12 gongs going to the cast and crew of the show which ended for good earlier this year.

Real-life dramatisation series Chernobyl also won big, taking home 10 trophies for its realistic portrayal of the disaster that took place in 1986. Fleabag won a whopping six, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge winning best leading comedy actress, best comedy series and best comedy writing.
