We have to say we’re a little sad today knowing last night was Stereo Kicks’ last ever gig together.

But we can take comfort in the fact that their experience as X Factor contestants and a year working as an unsigned act means they can pass on their huge amounts of wisdom to others.

Band member Tom Mann has already done just that – the singer has offered up some tips for those auditioning for the X Factor this year.

It seems it all boils down to two very important things which are the song you chose and looking super confident.

Speaking at their Thorpe Park Island Beats show on Saturday, Tom said: “Definitely choose the right song. It’s all about the song choice, if it’s bad you won’t get far.

“No matter how nervous you are, look confident. If you don’t, you’re not going to get anywhere. You need to look like you should be there.”

Tom and his fellow band members announced their decision to split last week after failing to get a record contract.

Speaking about their last gig ahead of the show last night, he said: “It’s going to be difficult but there’s no pressure. Every time we’ve been done a show in the past, we’ve always remained professional.

“It’ll be emotional, but everyone is going to go out of their way to enjoy it. For the first time ever, it doesn’t matter if someone sings the wrong lyric, or sings out of tune, or move in time. It’s going to be weird.”

We’ll miss you, guys!
