Game Of Thrones star Natalie Dormer SHAVES HER HEAD for Hunger Games role – and looks amazing!

Her Game Of Thrones character Margaery Tyrell is known for her lovely long locks almost as well as her scheming ways, but actress Natalie Dormer has gone and shaved off half her hair for her upcoming Hunger Games role.

The 32-year-old GoT star unveiled her new look to Glamour, saying most of her friends have reacted well to her half-bald head.

"A lot of my friends ask to touch my head. I just stand there and get stroked for five minutes. It's a free massage," she told the July issue of the mag.

Natalie took the scary plunge when she landed the role of Cressida in the new Hunger Games: Mockingjay film, which sees her play a film director dedicated to rebelling against the terrifying Capitol.

Speaking about her decision to drastically change her look, Natalie explained: "It's fascinating how much of our sense of attractiveness and feminine identity is bound up in our hair. But in the Mockingjay novel, Cressida is described as having a shaved head with a vine tattoo, and I wanted to do right by the book."

She said looking in the mirror afterwards was "peculiar at first" but she was getting used to it.

The third instalment in the Hunger Games franchise is scheduled to hit cinema screens this November, with the second part of the third book set to be released in November 2015, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne.
