As we all know, from every episode of Geordie Shore ever, no relationship is ever fully over when it comes to reality TV.
Which is why former cast member Sophie Kasaei, who was kicked off the show in 2013 for an alleged racist incident, is still sniffing around MTV like a drunk ex hungrily checking for that WhatsApp double blue tick.
heat spoke to Sophie, who is back for the Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle series, about her future on the show – and we might actually sob.
"For a long time people were saying that I needed to come back," Sophie told us.
"I honestly didn't think I would. I thought I'd grown out of it but being back in that house I felt at home. I didn't want it to end."
But at the moment, she admits it's not looking too positive for a full-time return.
"When I had to leave at the end of the series I was in hysterics. At the minute there's no talk of me going back which I'm gutted about, but we'll see how the series goes."
The 26-year-old is still close to the group, which includes her cousin, Marnie Simpson, and recently told heat she feels like an "outcast" when they all talk about their on-screen antics.
But there is one former cast mate she's lost touch with. "I don't really still see much of Vicky [Pattison]," says Sophie. "She's always in London. I'd love to see more of her but obviously she's doing bigger and better things.
"Vicky will always be Vicky. If she's home with her girls, she'll be the Vicky that we all know."
Sophie also told heat she'd be well up for doing Celebrity Big Brother 2016 - or even The Great British Bake Off. We reckon Mary Berry could put in a good word…
