When it was announced GBBO was moving to Channel 4 our hearts broke :'(.

Apart from having to put up with adverts now, the move means we'll be saying goodbye to Mazza B, aka Mary Berry, and innuendo queens Mel and Sue, who quit the show to stay at the Beeb.

Now it appears there's been even more bake-off dramz as culinary bad-boy Gordon Ramsay has revealed he said 'nah' to the role of Paul Hollywood's new kitchen side-kick.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Gordon said he was asked to front the hit series when it moved to Channel 4, but rejected the job because he didn't want to be Mary Berry's "sloppy seconds".

He said: “I’m not very good at sloppy seconds. I don’t want to be the male version of Mary Berry."

Gordon's not one to mince his words and the TV chef took the opportunity to make it clear he was pretty pissed off that the show had been sold in the first place.

He explained: "I think, as with Top Gear, we have an asset that is a crown jewel within a network: 14.5million viewers, there will never be another cookery show with that number ever again.

“For me Bake Off is like the Queen, it’s something to be respected, listened to and cared for – not sold off.”

YAAS Gordon. We agree.

Since the shocker move to Channel 4 was announced more deets about the show's line-up have been confirmed.

It's now been revealed that Prue Leith will join Paul Hollywood as judge, while Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding (huh?) will be presenting.

Our hearts haven't been won over just yet, but we'll obviously be watching when the new series airs this year.
