If we're honest, the news that Noel Fielding, Sandi Toksvig and Prue Leith would be joining Paul Hollywood as the judges and hosts of Channel 4's Great British Bake Off took us a little by surprise.

Sure, we may still be pining for the innuendo-stuffed commentary of Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. And we're certainly going to miss Mary Berry's delight at any booze-soaked baked offerings. BUT it's probably time to face the facts and come to terms with the fact the Bake Off has changed and there's nothing we can do about it.

Plus, any reservations we'd had about the new judging panel have been quickly whisked away with this AMAZING photo of the new line-up.

Taa-daaaa

Great British Bake Off on Channel 4

Also, despite the move to Channel 4, the show's format is staying very much the same.

12 amateur bakes will still head to the big white tent, set in the grounds at Welford Park in Berkshire – where the show has been filmed since 2014. It's thought the theme tune will even remain the same.

According to The Sun, a source said: "While Channel 4 are keen to put their own stamp on the show, they are not trying to reinvent the wheel.

"They want to attract new legions of Bake Off fans, but also don’t want to dishearten those loyal viewers who have been watching it for years and are planning to keep doing so despite the change in channel."

Filming for the new Great British Bake Off will begin later this month. AAAHHH!
