Former One Direction star Harry Styles has carved out a hugely successful solo career for himself; what with his latest album Fine Line receiving a BRIT Awards nomination and Watermelon Sugar riding high in the US charts.

And, since the lad's talent seemingly knows no bounds, he's also a talented actor; having starred in 2017 war film Dunkirk and reportedly having another huge role just around the corner.

According to Digital Spy{ =nofollow}, Harry is set to star in an upcoming film adaptation of Bethan Roberts' novel My Policeman.

Set in the 1950s, said novel is the tale of policeman Tom - a man in a relationship with a schoolteacher named Marion who later falls for a museum curator named Patrick.

With Harry reportedly in the running to play Tom, Mamma Mia! star Lily James is rumoured to be playing the role of Marion; but there's no word yet on who will play Harry's other romantic lead in the role of Patrick.

The film does not yet have a name, but has been taken on by Amazon Studios and will be directed by theatre producer Michael Grandage with a screenplay by Ron Nyswaner, who wrote Tom Hanks film Philadelphia.
