Those of you who thought that pesky One Direction hiatus would signal the end of the boys’ careers (own up, we know you’re out there) have certainly been proved wrong.

All the lads have gone to launch solo careers – admittedly some with more success than others – as well as focus on other ventures and passion projects.

Since going solo Harry Styles has pretty much done it all. He’s released an album, starred in a Hollywood blockbuster and worked on his modelling career. He recently had to befriend a chicken for a Gucci campaign - it was all a bit odd, but you know, fashun.

And Harry’s latest project sounds like something we can definitely get on board with.

The musician has reportedly signed on as an executive producer for a new CBS sitcom based on his life immediately after One Direction’s X Factor success years.

According to People Magazine, the show’s called Happy Together and follows the life of a married couple who’s life changes when a musician moves in to their home in suburbia – reflecting the time Harry went to stay with his mentor Ben Winston and his wife after The X Factor.

Damon Wayans Jr and Amber Stevens West are set to play the married couple, while Felix Mallard stars as the young musician.

Speaking about the project and Harry’s involvement, Felix revealed: “I got to chat with him when we were first deciding to do the show and he’s really excited.

“He knows that it’s a story based on his life, and he gets to produce a TV show which is fantastic for his career. So I think he really, really does care.”

Amber also added that Harry’s involvement will play a big part in making the sitcom.

“This is his story, and even though we’re not telling it exactly as it happened, people are going to ask questions – like, “Did this really happen to you?” she explained to the publication.
