High School Musical is still EXTREMELY close to our hearts and it will always soar high above in our list of fave shows. Glee tried to take the telly musical crown, but to no avail.

Earlier this month, we brought you the news that High School Musical 4 is definitely going to happen.

And the news is legit, because the president of The Disney Channel has confirmed it. Sooooo.

He said: "High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA. It embodies all that we stand for.

"As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' - as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth instalment of the High School Musical franchise."

Sadly, Zac Efron is waaaaay too busy to be involved. But there are so many other characters we need to catch up with.

So what have they been up to recently? We've found out.

Zac has said goodbye to his floppy fringe and turned into a proper beefcake. He's currently parading his ripped bod around on the Baywatch set. He's never been out of the spotlight since HSM and has starred in many, many films. Neighbours, Dirty Grandpa and We Are Your Friends – to name a few.

He's also got an equally hot girlfriend, Sami Miro, and they are very happy. Le sigh.

And he's got a really fit brother. Sigh.

Gabriella Montez AKA Vanessa Hudgens

She recently WOWED us all with her perfect portrayal of Rizzo in Grease and has starred in some great films, including Sucker Punch and Spring Breakers.

Vanessa also provides us with endless fashion inspo. The lady has got it all.

Sharpay Evans AKA Ashley Tisdale

Apart from defying the laws of aging (she looks exactly the same pretty much) Ashley has enjoyed a lucrative career with Disney ever since her days of HSM. She's also happily married to Christopher French and is in the process of writing and producing her own show.

Chad Danforth AKA Corbin Bleu

Understandably, Chad's epic vocal ability got him a place in musical theatre. He also starred alongside his long-term pal Vanessa Hudgens in Grease ever so recently and has won Dancing With The Stars.

Kelsi Nielsen AKA Olesya Rulin

WOW.

Apart from being SO UNBELIEVABLY STUNNING that it hurts to look at her, Olesya has enjoyed roles in all sort of movies and tv shows since HSM. She's like a perfect package of talent.

Apart from empowering the youth of today with her online platform Gimmie 'Mo and becoming the first EVER Youth Champion – Monique has had a few guest appearances on telly show Bones.

But her main interest is philanthropy, because she is the best kind of human.

Ryan Evans AKA Lucas Grabeel

His most known role since his musical days was Switched At Birth, a very popular show in America, where he played Toby Kennish. He's also voiced some characters on Family Guy, as you do.
