When it comes to Christmas films it doesn't get much better or more iconic than Home Alone. It seems that whatever age you are, the famous scenes of Macaulay Culkin's character, Kevin McCallister, being left at home for Christmas while his family go on holiday, will stick with you forever.

And now, a massive 28 years after the film was originally released, the child star, now 38-years-old has recreated some of the iconic scenes from the movie, for a Google Assistant advert.

In the short advert revealed online, 'Kevin' can be seen realising he is home alone, but the scenes are brought into the present day with the help of Google Assistant, as he asks Google to remind him to clean his sheets and then start, 'Operation Kevin', in an attempt to scare off the would-be-burglars.

Throughout the advert it pays homage to the original film, recreating the infamous aftershave scene, eating ice cream as he orders pizza and jumping up and down on his parents' bed.
