AWKS

Honey G

Nobody thought Honey G would make it as far as she did in this year’s series of The X Factor.

The North London rapper battled through the auditions and Bootcamp to the Six Chair Challenge, then was picked for the live finals by Sharon Osbourne at judges’ houses.

Honey then performed at eight live shows, and even did the mannequin challenge on live TV.

We’re not going to lie, we were totally gutted when she was eliminated. She was an icon – here are 12 reasons why.

After she was kicked out of the show, Honey revealed that she had signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco (yes, rly) and is releasing her debut single! It’s called The Honey G Show, and you absolutely HAVE to watch the sneak peek at the music video here – SWAG.

She won’t beat Matt Terry to Christmas number one though, the song actually isn’t eligible for the top spot. Sad face.

Since she announced her banging new track, Honey has been doing heaps of interviews to promote the song, but her performance on Good Morning Britain didn’t go too well… In fact, Honey G FORGOT her lyrics on LIVE TV.

There is literally nothing more awks than the music still playing and your mouth not moving…

Honey was singing Missy Elliott’s Get Ur Freak On as she walked through the studio to her interview.

We hope this doesn’t happen on The X Factor Live tour…

Honey also told Good Morning Britain that she was very, very pleased her career in IT recruitment was over, but that wearing her iconic sunglasses and cap combo does give her a headache.

OUCH. She only takes them off if she’s home alone though.

Honey also said that she hopes to be Honey G for the rest of her life. OK then… Is this like Beyoncé and her alter ego, Sasha Fierce?

We’re still trying to figure out if Honey G is for realz or not. Little Mix said they had proof she was an actress, but Sam Lavery told us that what you see is what you get.
