The show has graced our TV screens since 2002, but a lot of people have been dubbing this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here the BEST series ever! With Harry Redknapp's hilarious stories, Nick Knowles' kind nature and the camp's general love, it's certainly been up there with one of the best.

So with this in mind, viewers of the hit show were left devastated during last night's (Wednesday 28th November) show when host Dec Donnelly announced the current series is already HALF WAY in.

Another added, 'I’m sad that we are already halfway through the show already though', with somebody else writing, 'Halfway through the series.. I don’t know if I can survive not seeing Nick Knowles on TV every night.' [sic]

The presenters are on site super early

Because of the time difference between the UK and Australia the presenters - this year Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby - have to be on site incredibly early! Starting at 2.30am to do any voiceover work, they then have to go through the day's script and have their make-up done before being in the studio for 7am - which is when we see them on the live TV show in the UK.

The technology involved is huge

As we all know the I'm A Celebrity set is covered with cameras, recording all of the ins and outs of the celebs lives, however of course to make a TV programme out of it all, it needs to be edited. There are 13 edit suites used throughout the series. The 'nerve centre' of the production is in use 24 hours a day where the crew are logging the celebs actions and also speaking to any celebs who enter the Bush Telegraph.

The I'm A Celebrity set ISN'T in the middle of nowhere

From the looks of it, the I'm A Celebrity set is in the middle of nowhere, however it's actually in Springbrook National Park in a town called Murwillumbah in Queensland. Whilst the friends and family of the celebrities reportedly stay in the luxurious Palazzo Versace Hotel, the crew are based in the holiday resort of Coolangatta.

The waterfall shower is FAKE!

The are A LOT of bugs!

It's a good job that Holly Willoughby isn't a participant on I'm A Celebrity. Reports suggest that in each series of the show 250,000 cockroaches, 153,000 crickets, 2.5 million mealworms, 400 spiders, 500 rats and 30 snakes are bred.

Viewers, along with temporary host Holly Willoughby, were barely able to watch during last night's AWFUL Bushtucker trial.

Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Coronation Street actress Sair Khan took part in one of the worst ever looking eating trials ever to grace the show. In order to win meals for the camp, Malique and Sair had to eat jungle delicacies such as fish eyes, vomit fruit, pig snouts, sheep testicle, crispy shredded willy beef and dead scorpion (to name just a few).
