The official line-up's been announced, Ant and Dec have landed in Australia and we've cancelled literally all social engagements from this coming Sunday forward. Oh, it's gonna be a cracker isn't it? Not only have we got everyone from The Saturdays' Vanessa White to Jennie McAlpine off of Coronation Street in the jungle, but Extra Camp presenter Scarlett Moffatt's only gone and teased a MAJOR voting twist this series.
Yup - viewers can now vote for which celebs they want to see paired up for their initial trek to camp through the show's brand-spanking-new app. OOH and AAH.
Announcing the news on their official Twitter account, Scarlett got involved in a little WhatsApp-type convo with fellow spin-off show host Joe Swash saying: 'Basically for the first time ever, the audience can decide which celebs get paired up for their journey into the jungle.'
'So we get to control what happens in the first episode?’ Joe responded. 'I FEEL SO POWERFUL! Imagine the chaos we could cause!’
Exciting stuff, no?
This all comes after those reports the contestants could be evacuated from camp in their first week due to adverse weather conditions, with a source telling The Sun: "We are preparing for all eventualities. Provisions are in place for soggy conditions and campmates are equipped with waterproofs to wear should it rain heavily.
“It’s just a shame for viewers back home in the UK who like to see the celebs enjoying the warm weather.
"There is also more chance of the women donning their bikinis for the the waterfall shower scenes when it’s warm, so they’re hoping it will brighten up as soon as possible."
