Tony Hadley has hit back at Lady Colin Campbell’s bullying claims, claiming she in fact targeted Brian Friedman for his sexuality in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp.

Lady Colin left the show last week for 'medical reasons' but later claimed she was repeatedly bullied by Tony and fellow campmate, former Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne.

The socialite even went so far as to threaten legal action against the two men and the ITV show.

After the show finale last night, Tony made an appearance on This Morning today to slam claims he acted as a bully.

He said: “Everyone who knows me knows that I’m no bully.

“I didn’t want any confrontations in the jungle but I won’t sit there and allow somebody to call me a buffoon and Brian a ‘bitchy old queen’.

“Who is she to talk about another person’s sexuality? She has no right to do that.

“I will defend anyone I care about. I don’t care if she has a title and I don’t care where she comes from. What she did was not nice. It just wasn’t nice.”

Tony went on to flatly deny Lady C’s bullying claims and insisted he was completely friendly towards her at the beginning.

He continued: “I did not bully her. In fact, when she came into the jungle, we all treated her with the utmost respect. And in the beginning she really was so funny and charming with all these incredible stories.

“I don’t know what happened but then this tirade of abuse started. She was like Jekyll and Hyde.

“It was unbelievable how much she changed. People were stunned! I refuse to call her Lady now because ladies do not speak like that.”

Lady Colin refused to attend the series' wrap party last night in Australia but she did attend pre-drinks at the posh Versace hotel to congratulate winner Vicky Pattison on her success.

However, she totally avoided Tony and Duncan, making for a very frosty atmosphere.

An onlooker told the Daily Mirror: “It was pretty awkward and there is a clear divide. Duncan and Tony stayed sat down drinking and made no attempt to acknowledge Lady C.

“Some fights in the jungle have carried over into real life and Lady C doesn’t have too many friends when it comes to fellow contestants.”
