It’s been the nation's worst kept secret but now that Noel Edmonds has FINALLY been confirmed as a late arrival to the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, he’s opened up about how he’s been preparing for the challenge.

He admits he’s been “role-playing” with his ever supportive wife Liz – by eating worms, naturally.

"There are now no worms in our garden; [they taste] exactly like you’d expect," he said, explaining he’s now ready for whatever delicacies the producers may throw at him, including the famous ‘roos' testicles.

It was recently revealed that Noel Edmonds may be heading into the jungle this year and it's claimed he'll be the highest paid contestant ever at £600,000.

"Empty testicles I’m better with," he continued. "So I hope they’re emptied before. I’ve never seen reference to whether they are or not." Shudder.

Having presented Deal or No Deal since 2005, Noel has now struck a deal with the British public that if he wins, he’ll retire from telly after a prosperous 50-year career.

"I am going to win because I promise the British public if they vote for me, I will retire from television and never appear again. Fifty years is long enough, give us a break for Christ’s sake," he said.

Noel was confirmed to be going into the I'm A Celebrity jungle this morning, and will be entering the camp later this week. Reports suggest that he will be the highest-paid campmate EVER to enter the jungle in the history of the show, bumping footballing legend Harry Redknapp off the top spot, who is apparently earning £500k for his appearance.
