It’s official – Indiana Jones 5 is definitely happening.
What great news to start the day with!
And the best part? Harrison Ford will be back to play Indy, and Steven Spielberg will direct the latest film from the franchise after heading up the previous four films.
"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," said Alan Horn, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.
"It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven."
We first met lovely Indy in 1981's Raiders Of The Lost Ark, and he returned in sequels Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom (1984) and Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade (1989).
Oh, and there was that questionable film, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, in 2008.
But the less said about that the better…
