Jake Gyllenhall terrified in hilarious Halloween prank by Ellen DeGeneres

Halloween is a special time of year – kids go out trick or treating, we get to dress up in amazing costumes and we also get to laugh at Jake Gyllenhaal when he’s scared out of his skin live on television.

The actor appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday and the host decided it was the perfect opportunity to play a prank on the star.

Quizzing him on his work, Ellen said: “I just want you to do a comedy at some point, because, Jarhead, Prisoners, which was fantastic – every movie you’re in is just so intense.

“What is it about the dark movies that you do?”

Giving a serious answer, he replied: “I have this belief that If you kinda go into the dark sometimes, it can be illuminating. I like those characters ‘cause they’re kind of fun to play, but I also think there’s an opportunity for…”

BOOM!

A person wearing a creepy doll costume burst out of a box next to Jake’s seat prompting him to scream his head off which may not have been great for him but was very pleasurable for us.
