He's one of the biggest stars to come from the original series of The X Factor, so it's no surprise ITV bosses were keen to invite James Arthur back to perform on The X Factor: Celebrity.

James, who is also performing at Hits Live Liverpool on Friday 15th November, will take to the Celebrity X Factor stage on Saturday night, as the celebrity contestants nervously wait for the results.

ITV confirmed the news this afternoon, writing, 'The #XFactor stage is a second home for @JamesArthur23! Rumour has it he's quite missing it... Catch him on Saturday night, we're so excited to have him back! #XFactorCelebrity'. [sic]

James, who won the show back in 2020, also tweeted his excitement, telling fans, 'Excited to say I'll be making a return to @TheXFactor on Saturday night to perform 'Quite Miss Home'. Tune in at 8.30 on @ITV'. [sic]

In more telly-based news, Paralympian Will Bayley has been forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing following a knee injury he picked up in training last week.

In a statement announcing the news yesterday (October 30th), Will said: "I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received.

"I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me, and giving me the confidence to believe in myself.

"The things we achieved, from our couple’s choice dance, through to the lifts in our salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life."
