After months of speculation, it was recently announced that Daniel Craig will be returning to our screens as James Bond in the next highly-anticipated film.
And we may have just been given a bit of inside info about an exciting plot twist.
A Hollywood insider told the New York Times’ Page Six Column: “Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married.”
BUT, the source added, Bond will return to his life as a spy after his wife is killed…
According to the insider, this wife will be Bond’s interest in Spectre, Dr Madeleine Wann, played by Léa Seydoux.
“The film’s like Taken with Bond,” the source added.
The Bond team are yet to officially comment on the leak.
Daniel confirmed that he would be starring as Bond on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in mid-August. He also announced, however, that the next Bond movie will probably be his last – he told Stephen: “I think this is it. This is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
So, will these plot rumours prove to be true? We’ve got a little while to wait to find out – the next Bond film isn’t out until November 8 2019…
