We love you Jen, but maybe you opened your mouth before thinking…

Jennifer Lawrence has got into hot water after calling out a journalist at the Golden Globes last night, but Twitter’s Not Happy about her conduct.

The actress interrupted the reporter halfway through his question to tell him off for looking at his phone.

“You can’t just live your life behind your phone bro,” Jen told the reporter. “You can’t do that, you’ve gotta live in the now.”

While there were a few nervous laughs around the room, the journo bravely struggled on to ask the Hunger Games star his questions.

Now, we know what you’re thinking: the guy shouldn’t have been looking at his phone (why would you look at a screen when the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence is talking to you?).

But there could be a couple of reasons he was paying his phone more attention than necessary.

For one, he could be pretty shy and didn’t know how to react to Jen answering his question. We’d probs fall apart if J-Law was gazing right at us, too.

Secondly, there’s speculation that English wasn’t the guy’s first language, so he may even have been looking at a translation tool or reading the question off his phone.

Whatever the reason, Twitter of course has reacted to the incident, and there are a few mixed reviews of Jen’s response.

Some were angry…

Some made fun of the actress…

And some thought it was perfectly fine…
