You know when you want something REALLY bad you’ll literally bend over backwards and promise the world to get it? Well, it seems Leonardo DiCaprio is no different from the rest of us.

However, just what he’ll do is totally weird and really kind of sick.

The actor wanted to do such a good job on the set of his upcoming movie The Revenant, he was willing to sleep INSIDE AN ACTUAL DEAD ANIMAL.

The film tells the true story of an early 19th century frontiersman who was buried alive after suffering a bear attack and the actor and the crew spent days out in the harsh conditions of the freezing Canadian and Argentinean wilderness filming.

Leo told Yahoo! Movies: “I can name 30 or 40 sequences that were some of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do.

“Whether it’s going in and out of frozen rivers, or sleeping in animal carcasses, or what I ate on set. [I was] enduring freezing cold and possible hypothermia constantly.”

And when Leo wasn’t sleeping in dead animals, he was eating uncooked bits of them. He must really want that Oscar.

He said: “I certainly don’t eat raw bison liver on a regular basis. When you see the movie, you’ll see my reaction to it, because [director] Alejandro [G. Iñárritu] kept it in. It says it all. It was an instinctive reaction.”

Wow. That’s dedication...
