There has been quite a stir with who will be on The X Factor UK judging panel for the upcoming series since Mel B was axed from the seat and Louis Walsh left.

One thing for certain is Simon Cowell will be returning.

However the remaining spots aren’t so certain and according to the betting world Tulisa Contostavlos is a top contender.

So far other names being thrown about are Kim Kardashian (with daughter North by her side – we hope - which would be epic), a possible return from Nicole Scherzinger or Rita Ora – but show boss Cowell is still on the hunt to employ someone for the position.

Punters have backed Tulisa from the start to take the role as she went from 16/1 to 4/1. Rita was as short as 11/10 to get the job, but has since drifted out to 6/4.

Despite saying last month that he was ‘done’ with the show, Louis Walsh remains odds on at 10/11 to return.

One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is also a strong contender to join the panel at 2/1 with Robbie Williams next in the betting at 5/1 and both Katy Perry and Ashley Roberts 6/1 shots for the job.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at BoyleSports, said: “Rita seems to be torn apart about whether to leave the Voice UK for the X Factor. Simon is not one to wait around and the support for Rita to join the 2015 panel has dwindled resulting in her drifting out to 6/4.

“Punters have been backing Tulisa off the boards of recent and she is now 4/1 from 16/1. Having been a judge on the show before and filling in for Mel B in the finals last year, she most certainly is the easy option for Mr Cowell,” added Heffron.
