These past two weeks or so have been an absolute treasure trove of Mean Girls excitement.

It all started on October 3rd (obviously), when it was announced that there's going to be a MEAN GIRLS MUSICAL.

We basically died of excitement until we saw that it was going to be staged in Washington DC.

But if anything's worth a trip to the US…

And now Lindsay Lohan has made us die all over again with her latest Instagram post.

She posted a pic of her, Lacey Chabert and Rachel McCadams (better known as Cady Heron, Gretchen Weiners and Regina George) with the caption: "#tbt @rayannemcadams @thereallacey #meangirls @markwatersfilm miss you all… sequel?"

This comes after Cady Heron had been FaceTiming Aaron Samuels (Lindsay Lohan and Jonathan Bennett, to their friends) – perhaps discussing an imminent reunion?

Jonathan uploaded a screenshot of the encounter to Instagram, and the entire world lost their minds.

We don't know what they were talking about at this point, but we imagine Lindsay just told him his hair looks sexy pushed back.

One wrote: "Omg I can't" and another: "UNREAL. Wish I could've been apart of this last night."

Was the exchange further proof a reunion is on the cards? Are they making an actual sequel (as opposed to the absolute trash that was Mean Girls 2)? Was she asking him to be her math tutor? Are they starring in the Mean Girls musical together?

SO. MANY. OPTIONS.

The Mean Girls musical was confirmed, aptly, on October 3rd.

Bosses took to Facebook to announce the news, posting: "Happy October 3rd! The Mean Girls Musical is coming to Washington, D.C. Fall of 2017!
