Spoilers for Line of Duty series six ahead
It's been confirmed that a familiar face will be returning to Line of Duty THIS SUNDAY and safe to say we’re pretty excited.
According to actress Anna Maxwell Martin, her character Detective Chief Superintendent Patricia Carmichael is coming back and she’s not bringing good news with her.
The BAFTA winner said, “Pat’s back. I can’t remember what she’s doing there, nor would I be allowed to blab, but suffice to say she’s got some new clobber and she’s ready to bust some balls.”
We previously met DCS Carmichael in the last series when she was brought in as an independent anti-corruption investigator from AC-3 when superintendent Ted Hastings, played by Adrian Dunbar, had his integrity was called into question.

As well as all the drama with Ted Hastings, Jo Davidson, played by Kelly Macdonald, has left viewers with plenty of questions surrounding the DNA match to someone on the police database.
Fans have been sharing their theories on Twitter has to who Jo could possibly be related to and we think one might be onto something.
One Twitter user argues that Jo Davidson, just like the other exploited foster children, including Danny Waldron, played by Daniel Mays, had been groomed by the OCG, the Organised Crime Group from a very young age and is now continuing to following their orders because she knows exactly what they're capable of.
Hmm, the plot thickens.
We’re so confused. Sunday can’t come soon enough, though knowing Jed Mercurio, it’s unlikely that we’ll be getting many answers next episode.
