As the release of Disney's live-action version of The Lion King draws nearer, there's plenty to be excited about - not only that there's officially one week to go before it's out! Disney released two sneak peek clips of the film this week, and also the news of a Lion King-inspired album produced by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, who stars in the film as Nala.
There's one more thing to get you pumped for next Friday (19th July) when the film is released - and that's the full version of the cast singing 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?'
The song is one of the most iconic songs of not only the original Lion King, but throughout Disney's portfolio, written and originally performed by none other than Sir Elton John, and in the film is performed by the cast.
So for the live-action remake, we could not WAIT to hear Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen take on the legendary song. Thankfully, they have not disappointed!
Fans have been absolutely loving the song, with many taking to Twitter to profess their love. One wrote, 'Just heard Beyoncé and Donald Glover’s version of Can You Feel The Love Tonight and I instantly cried. Wow their power.'
Another added, 'Beyoncé did EXACTLY what I needed her to do on Can You Feel The Love Tonight', whilst one more wrote, 'Hearing Beyonce and Childish Gambino sing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" truly had me weeping! 😭 ' and one more tweeted, 'It’s way past midnight And here I am, crying over Beyoncé and Donald Glover’s rendition of Can You Feel The Love Tonight.'
