7 reasons you NEED to go to AMP Lost & Found festival next year

You missed out, tbh

The sun has been out for a whole 40 seconds this week, which means that the heat office has officially added festivals to our list of things we won’t shut up about (also on the list – Stephanie Davis, what baby Chiam will be called, and the fact that Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is TWENTY).

For the lucky among you, festival season has already started – as Annie Mac’s uh-mazing Lost & Found Festival in Malta kicked off on the April bank holiday. And heatworld was there to witness it.

1) It's a nice change from British festivals

We love everything about British festival culture – the warm beer, rolling around in the mud, going to bed freezing cold and waking up in a furnace – we even don’t mind it when it’s a massive washout and we have to swim to the tent. It’s all part of the experience.

But sometimes you need a break from all that.

Lost & Found is set in Malta, which is not only beautiful and DRY (mostly), but there isn’t any mud at all! Fancy!

2) It’s in the SUN in APRIL

We didn’t think it possible to not feel even slightly unsettled and anxious walking around in a crop top and sunglasses in mid-April, but Lost and Found proved us wrong.

Aside from a bit of rain at the start of Annie Mac’s pool party on the Sunday (that was soon banished and replaced by sun and happiness after she started her set), the weather was mostly liiiiit.

3) The line-up is insaaaane

This year boasted the likes of Jamie Jones, Armand Van Helden, J.E.S.U.S, MK, Giggs and Andy C. And Annie Mac, obv.

(Sidenote: If your vibe is more indie rock or hardcore death metal, maybs give this one a miss).

4) Malta is just generally amazing

L&F is spread out over a few sites in Malta, and most people stay in hotels – meaning you aren’t confined to the festival grounds. We recommend dedicating at least half a day to exploring the island during your stay. For more on why we’re obsessed with Malta at heatworld, click here.

5) Mad shit like this happens

Some random guy from the crown GOT ON STAGE with Dave, started performing with him and absolutely KILLED IT.

heatworld filmed it, but you couldn’t really hear anything over our screams. So here’s a better version.

6) You can rave on a boat, at a pool and a F*CKING CASTLE all on one weekend

You don’t get this at Glastonbury…

7) You actually have a chance of sleeping

There isn’t a tent in sight at L&F, given that it’s non-camping and attendees mostly stay at hotels round the island. This means you can actually have a good night’s sleep (sort of) each night – because, let’s be real, nobody has ever managed to have a proper sleep in a tent.

(Not that you'll want to sleep because you'll be having too much fun)

SEE YA NEXT YEAR, LOST & FOUND XOXO
