Only a couple of days ago Louis Walsh was blabbing on about how he’d had enough of the X Factor and wanted to return to being a full-time music manager.
But it seems the talent show judge could have something else up his sleeve – he’s reportedly being lined up for Ireland’s Got Talent.
The X Factor is currently undergoing a shake-up with Dermot O’Leary leaving as the host and it's rumoured some of the judges are facing the axe.
However, if Louis is given the chop he won’t move far from his television home as he will be appearing on another of Simon Cowell’s shows.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Simon thinks Louis is the best man to take the reins on the judging panel.
“He’s very popular in Ireland and is the obvious choice – and Simon trusts him.
“The show’s in the early phases of development and Ireland should be a great new territory for the Got Talent format.”
This week Louis hinted he was leaving the X Factor but said he wanted to head back to his roots and manage music acts again.
He told TV3: “I think I’m done with X Factor honestly. My day job is as a manager, I’ve kind of neglected that. I want to get back to being a manager.
“I’m working with [former Westlife singer] Shane Filan, he’s got a new record coming out, and I’m working with [boyband] Hometown. I’d like to get back to where I started off... I never wanted to be on TV, it just kind of happened.”
Well it sounds like you’ll still be working in telly to us, Louis...
