Camilla Thurlow's new bae, Craig Lawson, hasn't had a great reception since he entered the Love Island villa on Thursday.
He made a beeline straight for everybody's favourite posh girl, Cam, and while some viewers were really chuffed that she'd finally found somebody other than snakey Jonny Mitchell, the majority of us were wary that the personal trainer might just be tactically teaming up with her because he knew she was so popular.
After all, he was coming on pretty strong.
But game playing aside, the biggest thing that was concerning #teamcamilla was the shocking news that Craig had an ex fiancée and three children back at home, who were completely unaware that he was jetting off to the villa…
Yep. It all seemed pretty damning.
Craig's ex fiancée branded him an "absolute joke of a human being" on Facebook, and added: ‘I am fully aware that the disgrace who calls himself my son’s father is going into Love Island.
"He is dead to me and he is dead to my son. He has not even had the decency to contact me regarding this and regarding arrangements for my son."
Ouch.
Now, we don’t know about you, but we were rather put off by the Love Island newbie after reading this news... that is, until his mother retaliated on Saturday with a really sweet video that he appears to have recorded for his sons before he headed off to Majorca.
"Alright boys. If you're watching this then obviously you've seen I'm on Love Island now,” he said in the clip.
"I wanted to tell you before but I couldn't, everything had to be kept really quiet. I just want you to know that I really wanted to tell you."
In the emotional vid, Craig then went on to tell his sons that the only reason he was going on Love Island was for them. He added: "I love you. I'm doing this for us so that we have a better future. I hope you're proud of me.
"I hope you see it and laugh, see me having fun... and I hope you enjoy it, I'll see you when I get back."
Awww. Maybe we judged Craig too soon.
His mum wasn't the only person to jump to his defense after his ex fiancée attacked him on social media, as his sister, Gemma Lock, also took to a Love Island fan page in order to set the record straight.
"Would just like to say Craig hasn’t just abandoned his children. He is an amazing father. He worships them kids. They are his world. He is doing this to give them a better life. So please don’t believe all you read."
Well, this is getting more and more complicated by the second.
Maybe Craig could be Camilla's knight in shining armour after all?
We just think he should cut out some of the cheesy chat up lines first, tbh...
