Last night, Jonny Mitchell and Tyla Carr ended their ten day relationship because she was starting to find him boring. (The phrase 'what goes around comes around' certainly springs to mind, doesn't it, Camilla Thurlow?!)
And it didn't take GB athlete and new Islander Theo Campbell long to lay on the charm to the newly single Tyla…
Yup, they flirted and frolicked in the pool together, and in fact, by the end of last night's episode we pretty much hedged our bets that the pair would be re-coupling.
So, when we heard the news that Jonny and Tyla might be back together ALREADY, less than a day after they called an end to things, we were pretty surprised to say the least.
We mean, it was just yesterday that domestic abuse charity Women's Aid released a statement condemning Jonny's "posessive and controlling" behaviour.
But judging by tonight's episode, it seems like a JYLA reunion certainly could be on the cards, as we're set to see Jonny's newly positive attitude begin to wind Tyla up, following their split.
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Tyla says: “It’s grinding on me, he’s too happy now, just annoyingly happy… Jonny is a new man, he has gone from being mopey, moany, sad Jonny to what I only can describe as singing, dancing, happy.”
Basically, just the sort of Jonny you wanted then, eh Tyla?
Later that evening Tyla talks to the girls about her frustration. When asked by Gabby Allen if she regrets ending things, she says: “I do, but I thought it would have gone a lot differently, I thought he would have put up more of a fight.
I thought he would have had a lot more to say rather than just ‘That’s your choice’ so I’m gutted in that respect.”
Interesting…
Could Jonny's new lease of life mean that Tyla is ready to give him another chance?
