After realising Dr Alex wasn't the right man for her, Geordie girl Ellie coupled up with Chelsea boy Charlie. After dating for a number of weeks in the villa, Charlie asked Ellie to be his girlfriend with a little help from the rest of the boys...However, just days later, the pair were dumped from the villa in a cruel twist which involved their fellow Islanders deciding their fate.

After a celebrity edition in 2005 and 2006, Love Island returned to our TV screens in 2015 and saw the likes of Cally Jane beech, Jon Clark and Luis Morrison all appear.

After the success, Love Island was again renewed for a second series, with the nation falling in love with the likes of Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde, Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland, and Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott. But it was perhaps the third series in 2017 that really got people talking, Love Island fever swept the nation, with Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies winning the £50,000 prize money.

The Love Island 2018 final airs on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday 30th July.
