With the absence of Love Island last summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans of the hit dating show were over the moon to learn that the show will return to our screens this year, with a whole host of new singletons trying to find love out in sunny Majorca.

Series seven is expected to hit our screens at the end of June and it looks looks like things are heating up in the production office as new mum Laura Whitmore has been spotted filming in London.

Another video shows Laura surrounded by Love Island suitcases and inflatable flamingos as she smashes through an alarm system with a hammer, leading many to think she was filming the first Love Island 2021 teaser trailer.

The trailer shoot is taking place in Barking, London but bosses have confirmed the 2021 series of Love Island will take place in Majorca.

It looks like filming might take place a few weeks later than usual this year, as a TV insider previously revealed, "Crew members are scheduled to fly out to Majorca on June 20, with the series expected to launch a week later."

ITV bosses announced back in March that the show would be making a return to our screens, releasing their bumper Spring schedule, with ITV’s Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo, saying, “There’s so much to look forward to on ITV this spring and into summer, with the Euros and the return of Love Island, but much more besides."

A number of people have so far been rumoured for the 2021 series, including Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly Ramsay, doctor Toluwa Adepeju and professional boxer Harley Benn.

ITV are yet to confirm who is heading into the villa, but watch this space...
