Love Island 2017 star Chyna Ellis has reportedly spoken with show producers to discuss joining the cast of The Only Way Is Essex.
Hailing from Essex, Chyna is already friends with several of the TOWIE regulars and following stints of Love Island and Ibiza Weekender is no stranger to reality TV.
“I mean, yeah. I have spoken to a few people about it,” she revealed when asked whether she’d join the show during an interview on talkRADIO.
She continued: “I know all of them. They live down the road from me. I live opposite Gemma Collins' shop and Minnie's Boutique, things like that.
“I'm always bumping into them. They're all really nice. I've known a few of them for years.”
However, we may not be seeing Chyna strutting down the cobbled streets of Brentwood anytime soon as the Love Island star revealed talks had broken down.
She then added: “I'll never say never. I'm always open to new things, meeting new people and new experiences. So we'll have to wait and see on that one.”
This comes as TOWIE producers have reportedly axed several members of the cast in bid to concentrate on more prominent stars and their storylines.
A source told The Sun: “TOWIE is like a revolving door and producers are always on the lookout for new faces that can keep the show fresh."
They continued, "Chris [Clark] and Amber [Dowding] have left the series as a couple who’ve just moved into an apartment together – and often being in a happy relationship doesn’t work for the show.
"Mike [Hassini] is also loved-up with a girlfriend off camera and has no real storylines to bring to the show but will continue to focus on his fitness and personal training."
