A Walk to Remember was hands down the best noughties romance film. Anyone who says it isn't either has a hard of stone, is lying, or hasn't seen it.

None of these are acceptable.

To recap – it was the film in which Shane West (bae) played a nawty boy called Landon who fell in love with a good gal called Jamie (Mandy Moore), saw the many errors of his many ways, danced in the moonlight, got married etc etc.

THEN SHE DIED AND WE ALL DIED OF SADNESS AND IT WAS HORRIBLE BUT STILL SO GOOD.

And now, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mandy Moore has revealed that she IRL fell a bit in love with Shane West while filming.

Same.

"Shane was so cool," she said. "Everything about him — the way he dressed and the music he listened to. He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him."

"I don't know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, I was just so caught up in the moment and the experience. I absolutely walked away from that project so convinced that there would never be a project as special as that."

YOU WERE RIGHT, MANDY.

"Shane was so wonderful. I didn't know what I was doing. He had a lot of respect as an actor and I was just the total newbie. I didn't even know how to hit a mark, I was so fresh-faced and naïve. I felt incredibly lucky right off the bat that I had someone who was as willing to work with me and who was patient and understanding. He was just the perfect partner for that."
