Britain's Got Talent has finally returned onto our screens and we have already found ourselves sobbing into our Chinese takeaway during the first round of auditions.

The final act of the evening was magician Marc Spelmann who's heartfelt performance reduced the panel, judges (and entire nation!) to floods of tears. It was particularly enjoyed by telly duo Ant & Dec, who heroically gave him the prestigious Golden Buzzer.

Marc's performance started like most magic routines - giving the judges props and tasks to complete.

He asked David to select a crayon from a box, Amanda shuffled a Rubik's cube, Alesha selected a picture card and Simon circled a word in a book.

Then the routine took an emotional turn as he revealed his family heartache with a video he filmed two years ago, playing on the back screen.

The magician was inspired by the birth of his daughter Isabella following five years of IVF treatment and his wife's breast cancer diagnosis while pregnant.

He told the audience that his daughter is his 'magic', and subsequently left the whole world in tears.

Ant McPartlin was also seen a little teary after the reveal.

Ant and Dec

Before the judges could give their verdict on the sensational act, Ant and Dec came running out and hit the gold buzzer - meaning Marc is straight through to the semi-finals!

YAAASSSSSS!

Can Marc Spelmann win the whole show already, please?

One fan wrote, “Oh my goddess I’m crying ever so much, how beautiful!! #bgt.”

Another wrote, " “Absolutely incredible, touching and just fantastic! #BGT.”
