In a shocking turn of events, Marcel Somerville aka Doctor Marcel aka the Love Island 2017 resident relationship expert was caught out cheating on his girlfriend Gabby Allenwhile they were on holiday TOGETHER.
Now, it turns out Marcel’s actions have had some pretty damning consequences – besides losing mega BABE Gabby – as he’s been axed from his role on the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating.
After providing many pearls of wisdom on the topics of love, romance, relationships and friendships on Love Island last year, Marcel earned himself a bit of a reputation as a ‘love guru’ in the villa. A role CGD bosses were seemingly keen to bring to series 5.
However, after news broke that he cheated on Gabby, producers thought his love doctor reputation may have been tainted and decided not to follow it up.
"The team at Celebs Go Dating thought Marcel would be a perfect fit for the show and would be the ideal person to give the celebs some advice,” a source told The Sun Online.
"He was great on Love Island and everyone loved his Dr. Marcel moments.
"Marcel was in talks with producers but when it came out that he had cheated on Gabby, he was quickly dropped."

Marcel’s team recently addressed the rumours in a statement to OK! magazine.
"Sadly the rumours are true, Gabby and Marcel have split up. Marcel can't really defend his actions as he knows he did wrong and will regret it forever,” he explained.
"Marcel is upset that he broke the heart of someone he loves and someone that he shared so many special moments with, but with all the good times there are difficult times, and sadly Marcel and Gabby had been in a bad place at this stage.
"Gabby was a special part of Marcel's life, and he hopes one day she can find it in herself to forgive him. He knows what he did was wrong and is extremely sad about how he has hurt Gabby."
