It’s been a bit of a week for Geordie Shore. First it was announced Aaron Chalmers would quit to focus on his MMA career, and now it’s been reported Marnie Simpson, the longest running current cast member, is quitting the show.
A source said: "Marnie has loved her time on Geordie Shore but it's time for her to move on.
"She will still be around for this series but that's it - she won't return for the next,” they continued to The Sun.
This comes after Marnie earlier this week slammed the show in a tweet, calling it “fake and scripted”.
Someone tweeted, “If it’s Marnie’s birthday today how is it that her birthday party is airing on @mtvgeordieshore next week… even though they filmed in like October?”.
And Marnie replied (then deleted): "It's coz it's fake and scripted".
Blimey.
Reports she’s left the show also come after she tweeted five angry faces earlier today.
And many fans replied asking her whether or not it’s true she’s leaving the show.
Marnie’s maybe decision to quit comes in the same week as reports her ex-boyfriend Aaron Chalmers had also quit.
A source told The Sun: "Nothing confirmed yet. MTV have not decided what show Aaron will be moving forward on.
However, it was also reported that Aaron will star in a Geordie Shore spin-off alongside Scotty T.
The source continued: “There’s a massive interest in the show’s biggest names and their fans will be given amazing access into their lives with this new spin off series."
