Mary Berry’s GBBO final technical challenge is PURE EVIL

THE HORROR

Mary Berry

This year's Great British Bake Off has (obviously) been fantastic, but it's delivered some absolute shockers too.

The first shocker was, of course, its move to Channel 4.

We've cried all of our tears for that one.

The second shocker was Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc announcing their decision to leave (But Paul 'Traitor' Hollywood is staying). AND DAVINA MCCALL WAS A RUMOURED NEW HOST.

AND THE THIRD SHOCKER IS THAT SELASI GBORMITTAH HAS LEFT THE COMPETITION.

Deep down we knew it was coming, but we're STILL CRYING.

He is planning to open a west London bakery, though, so it's not the end of the world.

The latest shocker comes in the form of next week's royal themed technical challenge, which finalists Andrew Smyth, Candice Brown and Jane Beedle will all have to face.

Unfortunately for them.

It's unfortunate because it sounds HORRIFYING.

It has only ONE RECIPE INSTRUCTION.

How is that even possible?

What will it be? "Bake a cake"?

And the final showstopper is apparently "the most complex one ever seen on Bake Off" with "the most bakes ever requested in a challenge," according to Digital Spy.

WE'RE SO EXCITED.

But enough about that, let's talk about SELASI :'(

He's currently being the world's most GALLANT loser and has posted an adorable message about leaving the competition on his Instagram.

Alongside a pic of him looking lovely in a cap and holding a lovely looking cake of some sort, he wrote the CUTEST message which you can read below.

People have, predictably, been distraught about his departure from the show.

One wrote: "I knew it was coming, I just wasn’t ready."

Another expressed accurately how everyone is feeling.

Another highlighted exactly how we're all doing at work in the aftermath.

One user called Mary Berry (who we don't actually think is Mary Berry) took a leaf out of that campaign to ban Honey G from The X Factor.

Selasi, we love you.
