Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood may be set for an on-screen reunion as show bosses hint at bringing the pair back together for Bake Off’s US spin-off show, The Great American Baking Show.
Despite Paul failing to win over US audiences in the past, network bosses at ABC are still keen to back him to present the show.
“Audiences really get excited about the contestants and the way in which the show unfolds,” ABC Network President Channing Dungey revealed to The Sun.
“The format is not that different from the British version but I think viewers respond to the hosts and the people we have here.
“We are excited about the way we are doing the show here in America.”
Channing also hinted that ‘depending on [her] schedule’, the network would be keen for Mary Berry to join Paul in hosting the show.
“The Mary and Paul combo is a winning formula and American bosses are well aware of that,” a source told the newspaper.
In other Bake Off news, new judge Prue Leith recently opened up about her big faux pas back in 2017.
Prue accidently revealed the winner of last year’s Bake Off on Twitter twelve hours before it had been on TV.
Speaking on This Morning he told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughy: "I think that was the worst half an hour, when I realised what I'd done.
"As soon as it went out, I went into panic mode and I couldn't work my phone, I couldn't figure out how to delete it.”
