The X Factor final kicks off this Saturday night, so three heatworld writers have battled it out to argue which of the three finalists should take the crown.
Read the case for Saara Aalto HERE and 5 After Midnight HERE.
We can’t believe that The X Factor is almost over for another year :(
It’s been a wild ride as per, riddled with fix rumours at every turn, Honey G becoming the unexpected star of the show, and Nicole Scherzinger being her amazing self.
And it’s a pretty tough call BUT right now we’re going to say that Matt Terry should be crowned the winner of The X Factor 2016.
Why?
Well, there are a TONNE of reasons.
So just in case you’re thinking, “WHAT THE HELL, HEAT! SAARA AALTO IS GOING TO WIN!” or “SHUT UP, YOU FIENDS – WE ALL KNOW THAT 5 AFTER MIDNIGHT ARE TAKING THE TITLE!” then let us explain ourselves.
Ready?
He does the BEST foot shuffling.
Cast your minds back to the beginning of this series, when Matt rocked up to the auditions and blindsided the judges with his beautiful rendition of Stand By Me.
As if his smoother-than-honey voice wasn’t enough, he did a foot shuffle that would make MJ proud.
The sign of a true popstar.
Not convinced?
How about if we take a look at his credentials? He’s absolutely smashed it on the show so far, and has only ever been in the bottom two ONCE. And that was last week because, let’s face it, this is where the competition gets tough as.
Saara has been in the bottom two three times, and 5 After Midnight have been in the bottom twice.
Just sayin’.
Without being biased or anything, he’s also SO charming.
See how it feels like he is looking into your soul?
That cheeky little grin! Those dramatic moves while he’s on stage! The fact that he even makes Nicole Scherzy weak at the knees!
That’s a mean feat for anyone.
Bets on them becoming the next Chiam?
Well unless former X Factor contestant Gifty Louise gets in there first because we heard from this insider that she has a HUGE crush on him.
And that’s not surprising, because it brings us onto our next point in favour of the 23 year old singer – he is Louis Tomlinson’s TWIN.
Not actual twin, but physical, beautiful twin.
The pair even met once and it blew our minds, possibly more than when we found out that Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik have released a song together.
We could ALWAYS do with more 1D lookalikes in the world. So it definitely helps his case, because he might even know some Niall Horan doubles that he could thrust into the spotlight and into our lives (please).
We know you don’t need any more reasons to crown him your X Factor winner, but just in case we have a few more.
Even Calvin Harris loves him.
Lovely Calvin who never badmouths anyone (except Taylor Swift that one time) and always seems to be really nice and kind.
He was almost reduced to tears when he saw him singing at Nicole’s pad.
And we trust kind people.
Another reason? OK.
Fans send him some weird and sexy stuff – including their actual knickers – which basically makes him the Tom Jones of 2016.
Who doesn’t love a bit of Tom? He’s definitely up there with the GILFs (alongside Larry Lamb, obvs) proving that if you’ve got your sexual prowess down early, it’ll see you through to your later years.
We’re taking this to mean that Matt will be a slice now until forever, so why NOT crown him the winner of The X Factor and winner OF OUR HEARTS?
It makes sense.
He also rocks a great black, white and grey combo – adding to his thorough hotness.
See?
And one more.
Matt’s style deserves a medal of its own.
And FINALLY, if just one more reason will push you over the line and make you realise what we’ve all known all along (that he is the one true winner, as Sauron was the ring’s one true master) it is this:
He used to be in a band with Marvin Humes from JLS’s little brother.
‘Nuff said.
