Jake Quickenden is voted off this week’s X Factor after receiving the most votes from the judging panel this evening.

After watching his best bits with Dermot O’Leary a hopeful Jake said, “You never know what’s round the corner…thank you to you all and to all the judges. “I’m gutted I’m leaving a house full of my friends.”

Mel B crying said Jake “feels like family to me” she spoke highly of his hard work and disappointment that he’s no longer in the singing competition.

Jake's last performance on, prior to his sing-off:

Safe in the competition, prior to the sing-off, and who will be in next week’s X Factor remains, Fleur, Stereo Kicks, Lauren Platt, Ben Haenow, Andrea Fausini, Lola Saunders, Jay James, Paul Akister, Jack Walton and Stevi Ritchie.

That left Only The Young and Jake in the bottom two. After their sing-off performances, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh voted Jake off, Mel B kept her act safe and voted for Only The Young to leave which left Cheryl Fernandez-Versini with the deciding vote.

Although Cheryl gushed how she felt Jake performed much better and Only The Young have some development to add to their act she voted off Jake. Cheryl said she kept the act in who would benefit more in the rest of the competition.

Do you think they made the right decision?
