It’s safe to say the judging panel on this year’s X Factor is the best it has been in AGES. Yeah it’s awesome to have Mr Nasty Simon Cowell back. And it’s always great to see Louis Walsh. But, for us, it’s the style war currently waging between female judgebots Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and ex-Spice Girl Mel B that’s been keeping us awake at night.
Glossy-haired Cheryl has reclaimed her spot on the panel as the style darling, turning up week after week rocking fashion-forward looks. Sometimes she nails it, others she fails it. Our personal Chezza-tron faves are the Stella McCartney red trouser suit and the lime 3.1 Philip Lim peplum co-ord. We’ve also been having MAJOR hair envy over Cheryl’s honey-dipped locks.
Feisty Mel B has given the Newcastle babe a run for her money in the style department, though. Showing off her gym-honed bod in bodycon frocks and leather trousers, Mel has been unfailingly fierce at every X Factor show. We loved Mel’s Versace high-low dress, worn on the results show. It looked especially cool with her sleek bob and scarlet pout.
