Michelle Keegan is best known for that brunette barnet and her soft northern accent – but that's all about to change, as she's just bagged the lead role in new ITV drama Tina And Bobby.
The three-parter follows the story of legendary England captain Bobby Moore and his wife Tina Dean, so Mich is expected to go completely blonde and talk in a roight Essex accent, innit.
heat can exclusively reveal that Michelle is completely thrilled to have landed the new role.
"She's so happy. To get two big parts like [BBC drama] Our Girl and now this, is great for her," a source close to Michelle told us.
"These shows are the kind that are critically acclaimed and bag awards. Her ultimate aim is to crack America and she thinks this could be another big step to move away from just being a Corrie girl."
Our insider went on: "Michelle's had meetings with people who are focused on making America her next big step. She's got the looks, drive and ambition to make it big over there. She loves Emily Blunt and would love to have a career like hers eventually."
Wouldn't we all?
The series will focus on teenage sweethearts Bobby and Tina away from the football pitch, as they learn how to live in the public spotlight and juggling family life with Bobby's rising fame.
A spokesperson for the show, which will air some time in 2017, told heat: "Tina And Bobby is an epic love story about an ordinary girl from Essex who fell head over heels in love with an ordinary boy, who just happened to be an extraordinarily talented footballer."
The only clincher? Filming for Tina And Bobby starts this summer in Michelle's hometown of Manchester. What will happen to her and Mark Wright?
