Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has delighted fans by confirming the third season of the popular Netflix series has started filming. Taking to Instagram, the 14-year-old actress posted a black and white photo of herself with the show's director Shawn Levy, captioned 'and so it begins #strangerthingsseason3'.
This brief caption and photo has excited fans of the show around the world with many leaving comments such as, 'I'm crying with joy hahaha😅😋😂😭😘😍😍', SO EXCITED 😍😍😍', and 'What!!!!!!!yassss'. [sic]
Others were also very excited by the actress's new hair cut saying, 'YOUR HAIR I'M SCREAMING IT'S SO CUTE' and 'I love your new hair! 😍'.
This comes just a few days after Millie became the youngest person to ever be included on Time magazine's list of 100 influential people list. The 14-year-old joined the likes of soon-to-be-wed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and rapper Cardi B.
Millie first rose to fame in 2016 with the release of Stranger Things when she was just 12-years-old. Since appearing on the hit Netflix Original, the young actress has appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon when she stunned the audience with her performance of Nicki Minaj's 'Monster'. She has also appeared in the music video for Sigma and Birdy's single 'Find Me', shot on location in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, adding to the Stranger Things 3 hype, Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike Wheeler in the series also took to Instagram posting a photo of his co-star Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers.
And, Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) has also posted a photo saying, 'back at it like #season3 #tb'.

Since the announcement that there would be a third season of Stranger Things last year, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of when it will be aired and what it will be about. There are currently many theories about the third season circulating online. Last year The Duffer Brothers said, "They’ve shut the door on the Mind Flayer, but not only is it still there in the Upside Down, it’s very much aware of the kids, and particularly Eleven."
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Ross Duffer also said, "There's no way [the kids] can ever truly fully understand this place. We have our Upside Down document which describes its rules and its mythology in quite a bit of detail, but I think we're just going to slowly parse that out, and maybe not even fully use all of it."
