Stop right now...LITERALLY

GEM

Ever since we heard the news that three fifths of the most iconic 90s girl band, like, ever were reforming, we've been going a little SPICE mad.

We've dug out our old Spice Girls CDs (the cassette tapes got lost somewhere along the way).

Royally pissed off our neighbours with Wannabe blaring from our bedrooms.

And settled down in the evenings with a nostalgic viewing party of the epic Spice World: The Movie.

A classic.

But now we can stop living in the past (kinda) as GEM – the Spicey three-piece made up of Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton – have new music coming out.

GEM

The eagerly anticipated track is called Song For Her and has been leaked on social media.

We're not going to play the leaked song, we don't want to spoil the big reveal.

BUT here is a little taste of what to expect.

The chorus includes: "This is a song for her/ You know you light it up/ You know who you are/ Stand up, stand up/She's got that boom boom pop/ That's something they can't stop."

GIRL POWER IS ALIVEEEEEEEE.

Fans on Twitter have been going crazy for this new music.

One wrote: "Well that was a pleasant surprise @GeriHalliwell@EmmaBunton @OfficialMelB #songforher️"

And another completely sums how we feel: "Feel like a teenager again with #SpiceGirls new #SongForHer@GeriHalliwell @EmmaBunton @OfficialMelB"

There's even talk of Eurovision 2017.

HMMM.

However, speaking on her Heart radio show, Emma Bunton previously trampled all over our dreams of a Spice Girls revolution pt 2 by insisting Song For Her was not a single.

"You know, us girls love creating stuff.

"We went and had a laugh in the studio. It's not a single, it's just we were creating."

OK, hun.

There's also been confusion about the name of this new Spice Girls threesome.

Fans originally thought they would be called GEM after Geri, Emma and Mel.

But then, according to Digitial Spy, Mel explained "That's the name of our website. We're always going to be the Spice Girls. I think people are getting a bit confused with GEM."

Spice Girls, FOREVER?
