And this rumour has come true. A new picture of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini talking to her act Alien Uncovered on* The X Factor* stage has been released and, if you look very carefully, you can see the new scoring system on the big screen behind them.
The first line on the screen has ‘Vocal Score’ projected onto it and the second has ‘Performance Score’. Each line has what looks like four boxes underneath.
So, it’s likely the judges will have a funky little keypad to pop their marks in (we’re guessing from one to ten) and that will be shown on the screen on the stage.
How fancy. Let’s hope no one presses the wrong button…
