You remember Mason Noise, don’t you? He was that cocky chap on the X Factor who was reasonably good and knew it, who was sensationally given the boot from the show after acting like a total twerp during the Six Chair Challenge.
Mason took to the stage during the brutal section of the show in scenes that aired earlier this month but he slammed Simon Cowell and show producers for not giving him enough airtime during his original audition.
Music mogul Simon was having none of it and ordered Mason to apologise, and when he didn’t, Si told him to leave.
Mason’s luck was in, though, as he secured himself a spot at judges’ houses after contestant Tom Bleasby dropped out of the show.
Judge and Mason’s possible mentor for the live shows, Nick Grimshaw, has branded the aspiring pop star an “a**ehole” but insists he is excited about people’s reaction to what is yet to be shown of the musician on the series.
Nick told the Daily Star Online: “I can’t wait for everyone to see what he did at judges’ houses because I was Team Simon Cowell at first – I thought he was an a**ehole.
“Then when I saw him perform again I thought he was incredible – genuinely.”
On whether he would be difficult to tame for the weekly live shows, Nick added: “I don’t think he will be hard to handle.
“I think the British public are smart and intelligent and go for talent, which Mason has.”
This isn’t the first time Mason has been caught out speaking against the X Factor despite auditioning for the show – earlier this year, after his first audition, tweets surfaced which he’d posted criticising the show and judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
However, he is glad to be back and in with another chance.
Earlier this week, Mason wrote on Instagram: “Just want to say a massive thank you for all the love you have all shown me now I’m back!
“It’s kept me strong, so hope you can all keep supporting. It all starts again this weekend.”
