Nick Grimshaw talks X Factor rumours and says the show is like rehab for him!

Nick Grimshaw’s name hasn’t been out of the press in recent weeks. The Radio 1 DJ is hotly tipped as the next X Factor judge. Last week, Louis Walsh told heat Nick had pretty much signed on the dotted line but nothing has been officially confirmed.

So, when we managed to grab a chat with Nick at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich, we quizzed him on the rumours that seem to be driving him a little bit mad.

“I haven’t spoken to Simon it’s all speculation,” Nick told us. Nothing has happened but…I think it’s a great show and I love watching the show so if the call came, I’d probably pop Simon on hold for a while and decide.”

Nick stayed coy on what he’d be like as a judge, telling us “I don’t want to get ahead of myself” but admitted he’s a massive fan of the show. In fact, party loving Nick even joked he found the show like rehab.

“I do love watching it, me and my friends religiously watch it and it’s good because it makes us stay in. It’s quite a good rehab essentially, we stay in from like August to Christmas…!”

Maybe this year, Nick will be working every weekend from August to Christmas…we’ll have to wait and see.
