For those of you who don’t know, there’s a BRILLIANT spy-thriller series currently on the BBC.

Seriously: it’s SO good.

The Night Manager's plot revolves around former solider Jonathan Pine, who becomes a, er, night manager at a hotel in Cario. Everything seems normal enough so far, yah.

But then Pine is recruited by MI5 to infiltrate an arms dealer’s gang and everything gets a lot more exciting.

The Night Manager: meet the cast

Is The Night Manager Tom Hiddleston's passport to the Bond job?

Tom Hiddleston got his naked bum out for The Night Manager's sex scene and everyone melted into a puddle of desire for it

If you’re not already loading up your laptop to find it on iPlayer, then read on to find out all the reasons there are for lovin’ the show.

The Night Manager cast

The cast list of The Night Manager reads like the front row of the BAFTAs. There’s hottie Tom Hiddleston as protagonist and actual night manager Jonathan Pine; Olivia Coleman playing intelligence operative Angela Burr, and Hugh Laurie as resident bad guy Richard Roper.

Plus Russell Tovey, Tom Hollander AND Elizabeth Debicki.

Nope, not kidding. The line up is actually that good.

After watching one episode you’re despoooo for a holiday

The BBC are said to have splashed out on an eye-watering £20 million on producing the series.

It’s shot in some of the world's most incred locations and the cinematography has got us reaching for our iPad to start planning a five-star holiday that we probably (definitely) can’t afford.

OK, so maybe not the best reason for tuning into the show BUT we can all appreciate a good scenery shot.

Even one that makes us slightly jelly 'cos we’re currently stuck in freezing Britain and not staring at an amazing view with Tom Hiddleston’s arms wrapped around us.

A girl can dream, eh?

John le Carre makes a cameo in Episode 4

Thought you recognised the gentleman whose dinner is bothered by Corky’s lobster meltdown?

Well you did… it wasn’t just any actor, it was actually author John le Carre.

It turns out that Mr le Carre loves the BBC adaption of his novel so much that he agreed to make an appearance in the series.

Hugh Laurie plays a villain SO well

We already knew that Hugh could play grumpy vee well. That was pretty much the only emotion that his character Dr Gregory House showed throughout the House series.

But this intimidating turn we did not expect.

The character of Roper is described as being "the worst man in the world", and Hugh has managed to portray this amazingly well.

Round of applause to Hugh for nailing it.

The drama in gen

The fact that the series is a good ol' fashioned spy-thriller gives it a thumbs up from us Brits straight away.

James Bond is pretty much a national treasure - if a fictional national treasure was a thing - and this series is jammed packed with all the fast-paced dramz you would expect from a Bond film.

It's got the best/worst phone numbers in all existence

Surely the BBC could have thought up a phone number with more numbers than just 0 and 7 in it?

The fact that the series is six whole one-hour episodes long

A fair few adaptations of John le Carre’s novels have been made before now. But they haven’t worked particularly well due to the fact that their complex plots have been squashed down into a basic feature-length two hours.

But this hasn’t happened with The Night Manager. The series has instead managed to wangle itself six hour-long episodes that have given us more time to get to grips with the storylines and to fall in love with Jonathan Pine.

Both vee worthwhile things to have happened.

THAT sex scene

HOW did we even manage to wait a whole three episodes before we got to see Tom Hiddleston’s character finally get it oaaaawn with the young and extremely gorgeous Jed?

But hooo boy was it worth the wait. It could probably win an award for being the SEXIEST of sex scenes between forbidden lovers. Even if we all knew that those two getting together was the worth idea ever (there’s no way it was going to stay secret for long).

But more to the point, it meant that we got to see Tom’s ACTUAL naked bum on our screens for at least 10 seconds.

Whoever decided that was going to happen:

Thank. You.

TBH we mostly just wanted an excuse to show even more pics of the Hiddle-bum.

Tom Hiddleston

The main reason behind that sex scene being so goddamn sexy.

Move over Daniel Craig, we’ve found the perfect Bond. OBVS we’re talking about our favourite hot toff totty, Tom Hiddleston.

Cue thoughts of a topless Tom running down a beach to save us, coming into our mind.

We’re blushing at the mere thought of it.

The final episode of The Night Manager airs on Easter Sunday (27 March) at 9pm on BBC1
